Philadelphia Municipal Promotions put out this incredibly dorky name mashup tag line: “BENERGY!” Wow, what incredible creativity. Way to go Philly, you managed to mix history and science into an annoyingly boring tag line. Let’s save name combinations for celebrity couples.

2.

H&R Block: Here we have another large company apparently trying to appeal to a “hip” “younger” audience. Apparently the way to do this is…. improper use of the English Language. “When You Got Block, You Got People.” This ad also wins an award for dumbest placement of a search box.

Awesome advertisement and great use of space at the Venice Airport for the Venice Casino.

This Seafood Restaurant in India placed these fake shells on the beach, with ads for their restaurant

Two Interesting Guerilla ads pointing out the maneuverability of the Mini Cooper

Incredibly effective ad for blood donations. Definitely memorable.

Another effective Non-Profit Guerilla ad. This one against smoking.

* Help to maintain visual consistency
* Makes page more accessible
* Lower bandwidth cost
* Helps the web page to be more accessible to agents
* More semantic markup can be applied
* Looks more professional (liquid layout etc)
* No spacing images required
* Decreases the filesize
* More accessible for screen reading software
